陈维英（1811～1869），字硕芝，又字实之，号迂谷，清淡水厅人。咸丰九年（1859）举人。少时受业于庠生黄德辉、举人陈六山、拔贡郑用鉴及其长兄陈维藻。道光二十五年（1845）任福建闽县教谕；咸丰元年（1851），台湾道徐宗干举为孝廉方正；咸丰九年（1859）乡试中举，授内阁中书。回籍后掌教于仰山、学海两书院。同治元年（1862），戴万生起事，因助饷捐得四品头衔，并获赏戴花翎。晚年建读书之处于剑潭畔，名曰「太古巢」，著有《乡党质疑》、《偷闲录》、《太古巢联集》等。
