鲜于必仁，字去矜，号苦斋，渔阳郡（治所在今天津蓟县）人。生卒年不详，大约生活在元英宗至治（一三二一到一三二三）前后。其父太常典簿鲜于枢，“吟诗作字，奇态横生”（见《新元史·文苑·鲜于枢传》），是元代著名的书法家、诗人。在世时与海盐杨梓之子国材、少中交游甚密，常“尽以作曲方法授之”。贯云石曾教杨梓及其家僮唱曲于前，受有维吾尔音乐影响的鲜于必仁又教其子国材、少中及家僮于后，所以才有因杨氏而著称于世的“海盐腔”。其散曲中的写景之作，曲文华美，意境开阔；咏怀历史人物的曲作，咏史论世，格调健朗。
