客秋共醉菊花杯，东篱错认渊明宅。酣歌狂笑乐陶陶，社名遂假陶为额。
吾江名阀推峨眉，叔重文章亦宗伯。东山品格尚清高，芙蓉江上今元白。
主盟况有贤令尹，载道欢歌遍苍赤。能文能武公瑾才，师干更早扬鹰翮。
馀子矫矫锐莫当，奋勇都能连夺席。或则健笔九鼎扛，石破天惊具魄力。
或则著述富等身，枣梨寿世珍刊刻。少壮咸具芳兰姿，耆年尤显苍松格。
鲰生小隐长江滨，惭愧荒芜鲜实获。折简四出邀名流，鸿骞凤翥集宾客。
吾生行乐当及时，弹指光阴不过百。填胸块垒不能平，除却诗酒难消释。
此间况近古漫园，昔贤觞咏无虚夕。竹林古墓芜一隅，历劫浮屠耸千尺。
吾侪凭吊恣流连，表章古迹谁之责。濡毫漫赋开场篇，无才莫笑难为役。

字丹卿，号颜丞，出身望族，十九岁中秀才，光绪廿八年中举，翌年登进士。选为吏部文选主事。目睹清廷腐败，以祖母病乞归。任江阴劝学所所长，致力于地方教育和实业事业。大力发展城乡教育。辛亥革命参加同盟会，任分部部长。民国十三年，发起成立陶社，刊印江上诗钞、先哲遗书二十馀种。为传承与发展文化作出了贡献。沦陷时期，日伪威胁利诱，主持维持会，均遭其严词拒绝。民国廿八年卒。
