吴佩孚（1874年4月22日—1939年12月4日），字子玉，山东蓬莱人，民国时期著名的军事家、爱国者、中国国民革命军一级上将、官至直鲁豫两湖巡阅使、十四省讨贼联军总司令。吴佩孚善于用兵，富于韬略，军事才能在当世中国武人中堪称首屈一指，兵锋所指，无不披靡，更为世人瞩目。在其军事生涯前期，曾一战安湘、再战败皖、三战定鄂、四战克奉，有“常胜将军”之名。其人格品德更甚高，既讲求五伦八德，也醉心佛老之道，有《循分新书》、《正一道诠》、《明德讲义》、《春秋正义证释》等著述传世。
