作者同其人，意境有什百。矧乃今异古，人事穷变革。

岂徒物非古，杂出千智识。古亦一仁义，今亦一道德。
闭关古中华，互市今万国。墨守一家言，于古已耳食。
今情作古语，虚伪无气力。浅者况空疏，古籍纷作贼。
又不解经史，诸子亦莫悉。勤取古诗词，句摹而字勒。

林庚白（1897～1941），原名学衡，字凌南，又字众难，自号摩登和尚，民国时期诗人、政治人物。1897年（另有1894年、1896年之说）生于福建省闽侯县螺洲镇（今福州市仓山区螺洲镇州尾村）。幼孤早慧，由其姐抚养长成。8岁便负笈北京，一生热心政治，曾加入京津同盟会，慨然有澄清天下之志。林庚白是南社著名诗人，有“诗怪”之称。创作诗文很多，先后编校《庚白诗存》、《庚白诗词集》，还著有《孑楼随笔》、《孑楼诗词话》等等，为南社健将。
