傅熊湘（1882—1930），湖南醴陵人，早年留学日本弘文学院。1906年与宁调元、陈家鼎、仇亮等在上海创办《洞庭波》杂志，与胡适、丁洪海等编辑《兢业旬报》，宣传革命。1916年，袁世凯毙命，程潜督师入湘。傅熊湘出主《长沙日报》，因抨击北洋军阀，报馆被毁。1920年，张敬尧被逐出湖南，傅回醴陵，在县城创办醴泉小学，主编《醴陵旬报》、《通俗报》。后历任湖南省参议员、省长署秘书、湖南通俗教育馆馆长、中山图书馆馆长、第三十五军参议，沅江县县长、安微省民政厅秘书、省棉税局局长等职。1930年12月病逝，葬于西山。
