金克木 1912-2000，字止默，笔名辛竹，安徽寿县人，生于江西。文学家，翻译家，学者。1946年回国，任武汉大学哲学系教授。1948年后任北京大学东方语言文学系教授。随后娶历史学家吴于廑之妹为妻。和季羡林、张中行、邓广铭一起被称为“燕园四老”。历任第三至七届全国政协委员，九三学社第五届至第七届常委，宣传部部长。有《挂剑空垄：新旧诗集》。
