邑顾山周东庄人，原名树平，又名侃。号刚直。无锡师范毕业，民国五年留学日本陆军士官学校毕业。曾先后任铜山，川沙师范，上海大学专校等校教员，喜诗词有吟风弄月诗集。民国十五年由于积极从事革命活动，组织佃户合作自救会向地主劣绅开展减租斗争而牺牲。
