陈赓（1903—1961），原名陈庶康，1903年2月27日生于湖南湘乡。出身将门，其祖父为湘军将领。中国无产阶级革命家、军事家，中国人民解放军大将，国家和中国人民解放军的优秀领导者。新中国国防科技、教育事业的奠基者之一。1952年，毛泽东主席点将陈赓筹建哈军工（中国人民解放军军事工程学院）。中央特科重要领导人之一。历经北伐、南昌起义、长征、抗日战争、解放战争，朝鲜战争，为人民的解放事业立下汗马功劳。 1955年被授予大将军衔。曾获一级八一勋章，一级独立自由勋章，一级解放勋章。 1961年3月16日在上海去世，终年58岁。
