彭汝砺，字器资，祖籍江西袁州区，饶州鄱阳（今江西鄱阳滨田村）人，生于宋仁宗康定二年（1041），卒于宋哲宗绍圣二年（1095）。宋英宗治平二年（1065）乙巳科状元。彭汝砺读书为文，志于大者；言行取舍，必合于义；与人交往，必尽试敬；而为文命词典雅，有古人之风范。著有《易义》、《诗义》、《鄱阳集》等。彭汝砺去世后被安葬在江西省鄱阳县双港镇，其后裔以鄱阳滨田，双港为中心，散居全国各省市等地。
