释道济（一一四八～一二○九），号湖隐，又号方圆叟，俗姓李，天台临海（今浙江临海市）人。年十八于灵隐寺落发，嗜酒肉，人称济颠。后依净慈长老德辉为记室。宁宗嘉定二年卒（明嘉靖《浙江通志》卷六八、《补续高僧传》卷一九谓卒年七十三）。有《镌峰语录》十卷及《道济诗》，已佚。事见《北涧集》卷一○《湖隐方圆叟舍利铭》，《净慈寺志》卷一○有传。 道济诗，《续藏经》所收《钱塘湖隐济颠禅师语录》，实为小说，内容多有伪托，如记道济圆寂后尚有诗寄少林长老等。姑与《禅宗颂古联珠通集》等书所录，合编为一卷。
