赵湘（959-993），字叔灵，祖籍南阳（《南阳集》卷一《后感知赋序》），居衢州西安（今浙江衢州。据《宋诗纪事》卷五）。太宗淳化三年（992）进士，授庐江尉。四年卒，年三十三（《景文集》卷四五《南阳集序》）。其后以孙赵抃贵，追赠司徒。湘之文扫除排俗，有孙、李遗风。赵湘诗风骨苍秀。
