西汉成帝时期，传说刘向在天禄阁聚精会神校书，夜晚有一个穿黄衣的拄着青藜拐杖的老人进入，看见刘向暗中独坐诵书，就吹气青藜杖，向他传授《五行洪范》，刘向担心遗漏就撕开自己的衣服一一记上。到第二天早晨太乙之精老人才离去。
