霜露之疾的典故

西汉时期，丞相公孙弘出身牧人家庭，40岁才去读书，很快就被汉武帝拜为丞相，他办事认真，得罪了一些权贵，加上他出身低微，经常被人看不起。他推说自己有病要辞职，汉武帝看出他只不过是霜露之疾罢了，挽留他继续干下去。
