徙木为信的典故
战国时期，商鞅在秦孝公的支持下进行变法，新法公布以后，为使人们相信新法一定要执行，商鞅命人在国都南门处立了一根三丈多高的木柱，声明谁搬动到北门就赏五十金。有一个胆大而力大的人果然得到五十金，人们认为商鞅言出必行就按新法行事。
