家徒四壁的典故

汉朝的司马相如是当时一个有名的才子，不过他的家境很不好。

有一天，大财主卓王孙邀请他到家里吃饭，顺便让司马相如表演他的琴艺。卓王孙的女儿那时候刚死了丈夫，名叫文君，对音乐很有兴趣。当司马相如在宴会上弹琴时，知道文君也在场，就用音乐表达他的爱意。宴会结束后，司马相如贿赂卓文君身边的人，希望他们能够帮忙转达他的感情。结果，当天晚上，卓文君就离家出走到司马相如住的旅舍，两个人一起回到成都。

可是回到司马相如的家，屋子里除了四面墙壁外，根本没有任何东西。

他们生活得十分艰困，靠着朋友的帮忙，才在卓王孙家的附近开了一间酒店。没多久，邻居们都晓得，卓王孙的女儿居然在街上卖酒！卓王孙为了面子，不得已只好送给卓文君一百名仆人和一百两黄金，让他们购买田产、房屋。
