修饰边幅的典故

西汉末年，隗嚣派马援去联合公孙述对付刘秀。马援与公孙述是同乡要好，公孙述嫌马援不修边幅，派人送去官服修饰边幅，装出皇帝的架子，马援十分不悦就去投奔刘秀，见刘秀有雄才大略，就去洛阳投奔他，因他屡立战功，被封为伏波将军。
