陈蔡之厄的典故

春秋时期，大思想家孔子为了推行他的仁政及儒家思想，带领弟子数十人周游春秋列国。在楚国受到冷落后，就去陈国及蔡国游说，他们一行走到陈蔡国之间的荒野中发病，只好困在那里，弟子围着孔子而坐，没有粮食。后来他们坚持前行。
