出处《后汉书 岑彭传》载：东汉初年，隗器和公孙述分别割据于陇、蜀两地，光武帝刘秀使岑彭等率军攻打隗器所占的西城、上邽两地，并在给岑彭的信中说：“两城若下，便可带兵南击蜀虏。人苦不知足，既平陇，复望蜀。”

获陇望蜀的典故

东汉时期，刘秀当了皇帝后，西部巴蜀蜀王公孙述及陇西的隗嚣对东汉的威胁很大，光武帝建武八年，刘秀亲率大军讨伐隗嚣，隗嚣大败逃西域。刘秀命令大将实施他的“得陇望蜀”的计划，继而进攻巴蜀，势如破竹，消灭了蜀王，使巴蜀归汉。
