战国时期，宋国人屈榖去拜访齐国居士田仲说：“久仰先生不恃人而食，特来献坚如石而无窍的巨瓠。”田仲说：“你的瓠坚如石不能钻孔与开口，不能盛东西，只能是无用的东西。”并感慨自己不能为国所用，也同屈榖巨瓠之类的东西。
