楚地人称老虎为老虫，姑苏人称老鼠为老虫。一个人在长州当官，因公去娄东去办事，夜宿驿站中，刚吹灯入睡，门外有声响，他问看门人是什么东西。看门人说是老虫，他吓得想逃跑。看门人说不必惊慌，只不过是区区老鼠而矣，鼠冒虎名真有威名。
