中原逐鹿的典故

晋朝时北方的五胡十六国中赵国国王石勒十分有才干，但自以为是，有一次他问大臣徐光他能与历史上哪位皇帝相提并论。徐光答复为汉高祖刘邦。他笑道他只能做刘邦的部下，但与刘秀并驱于中原，相互较量，那就不知鹿死谁手了。
