周文王到野外巡视，见路边有枯骨，于是叫手下人掩埋。左右人不解，就说谁家的枯骨就该他后人来掩埋。文王说：“有天下者，天下之主；有一国者，一国之主。我固其主矣。”天下诸侯听说周文王泽及枯骨之事，纷纷表示效忠。
