晋朝时期，慕容超自以诸父在东，担心被姚氏所用，就假装行乞。前秦人看不起他，只有姚绍认为他是个人才就要姚兴给他官位。姚兴召见他，慕容超故意隐匿自己的才华。姚兴十分鄙视他，对姚绍说：“自古说的‘妍皮不裹痴骨’，此话不真。”
