东晋时期，尚书仆射谢安在大雪纷飞的冬天里把儿女辈召集在一起谈论诗文经义，要求子侄们用诗形容此时的大雪，侄儿谢朗作诗“撒盐空中差可拟”，侄女谢道韫说“未若柳絮因风起”。谢安大笑，欣赏侄女的诗才。
