待贾而沽的成语故事

拼音dài jiǎ ér gū

基本解释亦作“待价而沽”。等待善价出售，亦比喻怀才待用或待时而行。语本《论语·子罕》：“子贡曰：‘有美玉于斯，韫椟而藏诸？求善贾而沽诸？’子曰：‘沽之哉，沽之哉！我待贾者也。’”

待贾而沽的典故

春秋时期，孔子自认为当权者会推行他的仁政，在鲁国任职期间，鲁君受到季氏的控制，他只有感叹：“苟有用我者，期月而已可也，三年有成。”鲁君没有重用他，他说：“邦有道，则仕；邦无道，则行。”于是抱着“待贾而沽”的念头去周游列国。
