纵横捭阖的成语故事

拼音zòng héng bǎi hé

基本解释战国时策士为推行合纵或连横策略而进行游说的手段。后形容在政治、外交上进行分化瓦解或拉拢的手段。纵横：合纵与连横；捭：开；阖：合。

出处汉 刘向《战国策序》：“苏秦为从，张仪为横，横则秦帝，从则楚王，所在国重，所去国轻。”《鬼谷子 捭阖》：“捭之者，开也，言也，阳也；阖之者，闭也，默也，阴也。”

纵横捭阖的典故

战国时期，各诸侯国之间都想对付秦国，但是他们的态度分为两派，以张仪为首的一帮人到处游说服从秦的领导，支持秦国统一六国，这一派叫横；以苏秦为首的鼓吹六国联合起来对付秦国的叫纵，但他们各自为政，最终被秦所灭。
