忧心如焚的典故

周幽王是个大昏君。他宠爱美人褒姒，因为褒姒喜欢听裂帛的声音，他就将大匹大匹的丝绸撕成条。为了博取褒姒一笑，他点燃烽火台，各路救援诸侯昼夜不停地赶来护驾，才发现上当了。他对百姓重重剥削，使得天灾人祸不断，人民痛苦不堪。他又重用大奸臣尹太师，致使朝廷混乱，人心离散。

有个叫家父的大臣非常着急，希望周幽王能有所改变。他写了一首诗说道：“节南山岩石垒垒，尹太师威名赫赫，人民都盯着你看。

心里忧愁得像在火上煎熬，却不敢将你戏笑。

王业已衰国运将断，为何你却看不见？……”

但是周幽王不听劝谏，依然我行我素，终于被杀死在骗山脚下，西周王朝灭亡了。
