扪虱而言的成语故事

拼音mén shī ér yán

基本解释扪：摸。一面用手捉虱子，一面谈话。形容不拘细节，随便谈话。亦作“扪虱而谈”、“扪虱倾谈”。

出处唐·房玄龄《晋书·王猛传》：“桓温入关，猛被褐而诣之，一面谈当世之事，扪虱而言，旁若无人。”

扪虱而言的典故

十六国时期，东晋大将桓温率军攻打前秦国，驻兵霸上并不渡霸水去攻打长安，隐居华阴山的王猛穿一件破旧的粗麻衣去拜见桓温，与桓温谈论天下形势。王猛扪虱而言，旁若无人。他发现桓温并不真心，就去投奔前秦王苻坚。
