范雎随魏国中大夫须贾出使齐国，须贾怀疑他通齐，回国后报告魏相魏齐。范雎含冤被打伤，改名张禄逃到秦国当上宰相。须贾出使秦国，范雎扮作穷人去见他。须贾见状就送他一件绨袍，发现他是秦相时吓得一再谢罪。范雎说对魏齐要睚眦必报。
